Yeehaw Riders saddle up for this year’s homecoming theme, Rider Rodeo. In case you missed it, in the assembly last week (9/16/25) where the theme for this year’s dance was revealed. Make sure to buy your cowboy boots soon because the homecoming dance is on October 18th this year!
After last year’s success, there’s pressure to level up for homecoming this year. “Homecoming last year was so much better than years past”, a senior member of the Student Council said. Even though there was a consensus in leadership that last homecoming was an improvement, there are still requests of ways they can do better this year. Things they plan on addressing is the, “missing hype” and the need for “more white girl bangers”, offered a few anonymous Roosevelt students. Ways the leadership team plans on addressing this is by having better communication with the DJ and by trying to create more hype around the dance. Hazel Hooten, the co-clubs commissioner says this year we have a “more engaging theme, Leadership working their butts off, class competitions, and lots of hype”.
The biggest news for this year’s dance is the addition of a mechanical bull! Make sure to get your waiver signed if you plan on participating! Hopefully this is a way to make the dance more fun for everyone and bring more participation than years past!
So be ready to stomp your boots and get hype for homecoming this year!
