Launa Cleek is a 16 year old junior at Roosevelt high school. She lives in north Portland and is involved in the Roosevelt Speech and Debate team as well as the Women’s Empowerment club and she volunteers as a Student Leader at ODS. She values having curiosity, empathy, understanding, and the want to seek more knowledge. A piece of advice that she feels was very impactful to her is “scared is how you feel, brave is how you act.” She works to be a curious and outgoing person and in the future she hopes to bring those traits into a career that will make a positive change.
