Xochitl Lino Aiello
Xochitl is a first year staffer at Voices of Roosevelt. The 16 year old Junior is proud of all the people and passions she’s found here at Roosevelt. She is involved in MECHA and Women’s Empowerment club, and enjoys being able to talk to people who share her experiences. Xochitl believes in looking out for people who cannot always look out for herself. Her interest in activism is inspired by her mother, who she describes as the most empathetic person she knows and taught Xochitl how to care for her community. She wishes the world was a kinder place free of bigotry. Above all Xochitl considers herself a kind friend. And she lives by the motto of YOLO and has learned not to take life too seriously. Xochitl describes herself as a hard working person, the only challenge she runs away from is dogs..who she has a secret fear of.
