Ellie, Editor in Chief
Ellie Weiner is a 17 year old senior at Roosevelt highschool and editor in chief/founder of Voices of Roosevelt. Born in New York, she moved to Portland in 2019 and now resides in the Kenton neighborhood. Ellie is a dedicated, motivated, energetic, and involved member of the Roosevelt community. Her future aspirations include working in news after college and eventually becoming a producer. Believing that knowledge is what makes people strong, and gives people the power to be people is what draws her to the journalism world. She is a baker and lover of binge watching tv, and lives by the motto “I've appointed myself in charge of moral.” Some recent accomplishments include creating a successful school newspaper (Voices) and being casted as a lead in the upcoming school play Night of the Living Dead. Ellie is extremely involved in the community of Roosevelt highschool, and appreciates how this community strives to lift each other up.
