Winter Events-Behind the Voices Ep 1

Eli Mair Lowery is a 15 year-old sophomore and this is his first year on the paper. He was born and raised in Portland, in the University Park neighborhood. The motto he lives his life by is “The time will pass anyways.” He describes himself as ambitious, creative and caring. His family and friends motivate him to be successful, and he has a good work ethic. Eli loves to talk to people, to write and is curious about the world, all skills that translate well into his work with Voices.

Jordan Killian is a 14 year old freshman who has just started Roosvelt. They grew up living in Arizona most of their life until making the move to Lincoln City, Oregon then finally coming to Portland, Oregon. Entering a new community one of the things they like is how people aren't mean and are very friendly. Jordan has an aura of a very kind, friendly and intuitive individual. In the next five years you can either see Jordan taking a gap year after he graduates high school or heading to community college to pursue a job that is writing oriented. Currently he will be writing away at Voices of Roosevelt.
