Ms. Crock has been a crucial part of the Roosevelt science team for 21 years, teaching (formerly) physics, now biology and AP biology. When asked what her favorite class to teach is, Ms. Crock expresses how she has a deep fondness for all of the classes she’s taught. Ms. Crock talks about how she enjoyed teaching freshman physics because of “the energy and growth that the students have over a year” while she likes teaching AP Biology due to the “level of commitment students have to each other and the class, in their dedication to learning.” She expresses her love of teaching in that it brings her curiosity and she loves to inspire students’ curiosity in designing lessons around that. Students of Ms. Crock’s say that she “Puts her students’ learning as her top priority” and that she “is a phenomenal teacher.” Not only does she teach science classes but she also has coached the girls soccer team, coming back to coaching this year after an unexpected vacancy on the team. Ms. Crock is a crucial part of the Roosevelt community, being one of those teachers that everyone knows, and from personal experience definitely one of the best teachers I’ve had.
